SEO, non-commodity content & agentic blogging glossary
Shared definitions for the evidence, SEO, differentiation, strategy, and autonomous-agent concepts used across Bloggent.
For the reasoning behind these terms, read the Bloggent methodology. For a fast content-direction example, open SearchLens. For deeper commodity-baseline, proof, and defensibility analysis, use NonCC. For grounded AI mention and citation measurement, open AI Visibility Checker.
Agent
A specialized AI worker with a bounded responsibility, defined inputs and outputs, and permission to complete one or more steps without requiring a new prompt for every action.
AI Visibility Checker
Bloggent’s public point-in-time measurement tool. It tests 10 prompts relevant to one public webpage across ChatGPT Search and Google AI Mode and reports grounded citations, brand mentions, competitor visibility, and evidence-linked recommendations.
Algorithm
A defined decision procedure that scores, classifies, filters, or organizes inputs using explicit rules or signals.
Autonomous Agent
An agent that can continue a multi-step task, make bounded decisions, and take permitted actions without waiting for a human prompt at every step.
Brief
A writer- or agent-ready content plan that captures audience, direction, structure, evidence, claims boundaries, and coverage requirements for a page.
Build Priority
A NonCC decision aid that asks whether a defensible content idea is worth producing now after demand and production effort are considered. It is not a ranking probability.
Cluster
A grouped set of related queries or topics that should be handled by one page or by a deliberately connected set of pages.
Commodity Baseline
A summary of repeated patterns already present across analyzed ranking pages. Bloggent’s internal construction and calibration method is proprietary.
Commodity Risk
The risk that a proposed page would be interchangeable with many competent results because it repeats the same format, advice, or evidence without adding a useful reason to exist.
Content Gap
A useful need, decision, perspective, evidence type, workflow, or level of specificity that the currently observed content does not adequately satisfy.
Content Intelligence
The layer that turns research, site context, and evidence into actionable editorial or agent guidance before drafting begins.
Defensibility
The degree to which a useful contribution depends on evidence, method, experience, processing, or assets that a generic competitor or AI cannot cheaply reproduce.
Discovery
The process of expanding seed topics or keywords into a broader opportunity set while preserving where each idea came from.
Domain Citation
A grounded AI answer citation that links to another page on the same registrable domain as the submitted target page, rather than to the exact target page.
Draft
A generated or human-edited article version that has not yet passed the workflow rules required for its next publishing action.
Editorial Review
A quality gate that checks whether a draft matches its evidence, strategy, claims boundaries, coverage requirements, and site rules.
Entity
A distinct real-world concept, organization, person, place, product, or thing that is relevant to understanding a topic or query.
Evidence
Saved inputs or supporting artifacts behind a decision, such as visible search results, source material, verified site data, first-hand observations, or approved research.
Evidence Mode
A label that distinguishes analysis grounded in current retrieved evidence from analysis that is strategic or inferential because live evidence was unavailable.
Exact-Page Citation
A grounded AI answer citation that resolves to the submitted webpage or its verified canonical URL.
Execution Readiness
A NonCC signal that reflects whether evidence the user says they already own can support the proposed proof asset. A strong idea can have low readiness when the required evidence has not been gathered yet.
Grounded Sample
An AI answer sample backed by retrieved search evidence and therefore eligible for citation measurement in the AI Visibility Checker report.
Guardrail
A rule that limits what an agent may spend, claim, change, publish, access, or do without additional authority.
Information Gain
Useful new value a page contributes beyond what competing pages already provide, such as better evidence, clearer decisions, original data, practical tools, or more specific guidance.
Intent
The underlying task or outcome a searcher is trying to accomplish, such as learning, comparing, deciding, troubleshooting, or taking action.
Keyword
A search query or canonical topic phrase used as an input to discovery, analysis, planning, or measurement.
Metric
A measured value used to understand demand, competition, performance, cost, quality, or another defined property of the workflow.
Non-Commodity Content
Content whose useful contribution depends on distinctive evidence, original processing, experience, data, tools, or decision support instead of merely restating the same competent information already available elsewhere.
NonCC
Bloggent’s public Non-Commodity Content Engine. It reviews ranking-page coverage and uses a proprietary evidence-first evaluation to identify contributions that are useful, defensible, and supported by real proof.
Opportunity Score
A directional decision aid used to summarize an opportunity. In SearchLens it is model-generated analysis, not a probability of ranking, deterministic SEO metric, or traffic forecast.
Pipeline
An ordered multi-stage workflow in which the output of one step becomes an input or decision for the next.
Proof Asset
A concrete artifact that can support a proposed contribution, such as a dataset, experiment, screenshots, measurements, interviews, calculations, or operating evidence. A future proof asset is not treated as evidence already owned.
Provider
An external service that supplies a bounded capability such as language generation, search evidence, email delivery, or infrastructure.
SearchLens
Bloggent’s public content-direction tool that inspects current organic evidence when available, identifies commodity risk and a useful gap, and returns one recommended direction before writing begins.
SERP
Search engine results page: the ordered results and features returned for a query at a particular time and search context.
Skill
A reusable capability an agent can call to perform a specific bounded task within a larger workflow.
Snapshot AI Visibility Score
A point-in-time summary of observed page citations, same-domain citations, brand mentions, and missing visibility. It uses proprietary weighting, calibration, and eligibility rules and is not a permanent ranking.
Strategy
The higher-level decision framework that turns opportunities, evidence, site context, and constraints into priorities and an execution direction.
Topic Hub
A central page or cluster parent that organizes and connects supporting content around one strategic subject.
Workflow
A sequence of visible or automated stages that defines what should happen, what is allowed, what is blocked, and what comes next.
